It started with a television commercial featuring Norm Macdonald. The SafeAuto spokesperson was cleaning out his closet urging viewers to enter the ‘Norm’s Stuff Giveaway’ contest. In the television advertisement, Norm, in his witty and humorous way, was teasing people to visit SafeAuto.com to enter where they could win an official Norm Macdonald shoehorn!
Fans of SafeAuto Insurance on Facebook began to realize that the state minimum auto insurance company was giving away a lot more than the shoehorn and holiday sweater. As part of the online contest, SafeAuto was also giving away an iPad, Beats Headphones, and a digital camera (to name a few of the prizes).
Brian Moyers from Lemont, Illinois, was selected as the lucky winner of an iPad Mini. “I never win anything,” stated Moyers. “This is Amazing!” The ‘Norm’s Stuff Giveaway’ contest will run through June 1, 2013, simultaneously with the television spots rotation.
“I heard about SafeAuto through their clever and witty television commercials with Norm Macdonald,” said an excited Moyers. “I saw a posting on Facebook about the contest and the commercial with all the old stuff, which caught my attention.”
