Halloween is the Deadliest Night for Pedestrians

There are many reasons that Halloween is one of the scariest nights of the year. You may not have known, however, that its reputation as being the deadliest night for pedestrians was one of them.

According to AAA, the fatal statistics involving car accidents make October 31st the deadliest night of the year for pedestrians. With so many people walking around the streets, it’s no wonder that accidents occur.

Safety, especially when it comes to driving, is always on our minds at SafeAuto Insurance. This Halloween, we are urging our customers to be extra careful while on the road. Make sure you watch for children in the street, drive slowly, avoid driving through busy neighborhoods if at all possible, and of course, if you’re drinking, make sure to have a designated driver.

Of course we know that accidents happen (hey, that’s what we’re here for), but follow these simple tips and hopefully your Halloween will only be scary because you’re surrounded by ghosts, goblins, and witches… not because you’re slamming your breaks to stop from hitting a trick-or-treater.

And, our last tip… If you’re on the road, always make sure you’re insured. For a free quote, visit our website at www.safeauto.com, and we wish you all a very happy and safe Halloween.
