UFC veteran Chris Lyte was able to go out on his own terms, following a submission victory over Dan Hardy at UFC on Versus 5 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The experienced fighter announced the day before that he would be calling it a career following his fight at the Bradley Center on August 14, 2011. While fight fans won’t forget the last action packed fight of Lyte’s career, SafeAuto Insurance was proud to have their red SA logo present in the Octagon throughout the evening’s memorable bouts.
In addition to having their logo on the canvas, SafeAuto Fight Team members Amir Sadollah and Donald Cerrone, looked to improve the insurance company’s overall fight team record by going undefeated on the evening. “Cowboy” Cerrone earned “Knockout of the Night” and showed off his kicking ability in rout to a TKO victory over Charles Oliveira. Amir Sadollah on the other hand wasn’t able to take his fight to the ground, which ultimately led to his opponent, Duane Ludwig’s unanimous decision victory.
SafeAuto Insurance is glad that fans got treated to such memorable fights on cable television. Paul Roebuck commented on the SafeAuto Fight Team Facebook page right after the bouts, “I love that you guys (SafeAuto Insurance) joined the MMA world.” The state minimum auto insurance company is thrilled to be an official sponsor of the UFC and actively involved in the sport of mixed martial arts!
